ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s began activities in the field in November 2022
In November 2022, ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s (ALLright(s) – Rights for all), a project implemented by Cáritas Coimbra, began the work with children and adolescents, with the goal of promoting education for human rights, gender equality, diversity and interculturality.
During the 1st period of the present school year, awareness-raising sessions on Human Rights were held in the following equipment/schools: Cáritas Coimbra’s Kindergartens, Group of Schools in Tábua, Mealhada and Lousã. The participants were children and adolescents from pre-school to secondary school.
In January 2023, the project held the first awareness-raising sessions in the Group of Schools in Condeixa-a-Nova, with 2nd cycle classes. The first session of the “Youth in Action” group also took place, with the participation of secondary school students and the support of the school and Fernando Namora’s Leisure Activity Centre.
In the coming months, the project intends to continue the work of raising awareness so that tomorrow, these children and adolescents will be more aware and active adults, regarding their rights and duties.
ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s is a project financed by the Active Citizens Fund in Portugal – EEA Grants, which is operated in Portugal by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Bissaya Barreto Foundation.
