ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s

ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s (ALLright(s) – Rights for all) aims to raise awareness and empower children and adolescents, from pre-school to secondary school and professionals working in education and social intervention with children and adolescents, in the fields of human rights education, diversity, interculturality, and gender equality perspectives. It will last 19 months.

Considering the know-how of other Cáritas Coimbra’s projects, such as Triplo D (project recognised as a good practice, in 2021, by the United Nations), there is a need to promote the personal and social development of children and young people, throughout the entire educational process. In addition, it will also have training courses aimed at professionals working in the fields of education and social intervention with child and adolescents.

The project aims to promote changes in attitudes in the target groups, stimulating an inclusive education through the dissemination of information and knowledge, allowing the formation of children, adolescents, and professionals more aware, responsible, and active in combating discrimination and human rights violations. The project is based on four components:

Training courses for professionals working in the areas of education and social intervention with children and adolescents. It will have the participation of the European Centre for Women and Technology and Akto – Human Rights, official project partners. Dynamization of discussion/activation groups of young people – “Youth in Action” initiative. The goal of this component is to enhance dialogue about human and cultural diversity and human rights and empower young people to participate more actively in actions at school and in the community.
Dynamization of thematic workshops for children and adolescents, with the aim of raising awareness of participants to topics such as human rights/children’s rights, gender equality, diversity and interculturality. It will involve the Cáritas Coimbra’s Leisure Activities Centres and the Group pf Schools in Condeixa-a-Nova, official partner of the project. Dissemination of the project, creation of physical and digital information materials, a website, and a manual of good practices. The project includes a monitorization/evaluation activity that will allow reflection on results and lessons learned.

Main tasks of CDC in the project:

Cáritas Coimbra is the promoting entity, responsible for the management and implementation of the project.
