Cáritas Coimbra participated in the 3rd consortium meeting of the DAPAS Project

Cáritas Coimbra participated in the third consortium meeting of the DAPAS project, on June 21, 2021. This meeting took place online, as in the previous ones, due to the restrictions still imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coordinated by EXTHEX, the partners took the point of the situation and analysed the progress of the work developed so far. As the project is already in its final stretch, the focus of the meeting was the planning of the next steps and reports.

Cáritas Coimbra, as one of the three organizations that implement the pilot in a real environment to test the DAPAS system, exposed the work and feedback of users. The third phase of the system is ready to be installed on the tablets received by the participants.

In addition, as leader of the User Advisory Board, Cáritas Coimbra raised some concerns mentioned by end-user representatives at the last board meeting, so that the solution meets the real needs of users and ensures the privacy and security of all.

The DAPAS (Deploying AAL Packages at Scale) project aims to provide an innovative solution by bringing together and testing the successful results of previous AAL projects, such as Emma, kwido and RelaxedCare, developed from different companies in different countries. These solutions have been combined into a single product distributed on a large scale to improve the quality of life of older people and their caregivers.

The DAPAS Project is co-financed by the European Active Assisted Living Programme (ICT for Ageing, 2017) and in Portugal, by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
