Cáritas de Coimbra thanks you for your contribution!
There are more than 9,9 million of new dementia cases every year worldwide, which means a new case every 3,2 seconds. Until 2018, the global cost for dementia surpassed the €900 billions – 80% related to the cost of formal and informal caregivers).
DIANA (Digital Smart Assistent for Nursing Aps) fills this need, by providing a new product to optimize the work procedures of nurses of people with dementia, through the use of smart 3D sensors. This project is part of the AAL program (Life assisted environments) and is funded in Portugal by FCT – Fundação para a ciência e Tecnologia http://www.diana-project.eu/.
For now the form will remain online, available in English, to collect further requirements about the needs of nurses or carers of people with cognitive impairment or dementia.
The project Diana wants to know the opinion of everyone that fits this categories, in relation to the Smart Digital Assistents in their workspace.
