Cáritas Coimbra attended the kick-off meeting of the Lifebots Project
Cáritas Coimbra was in Brussels, Belgium, on May 2 and 3, represented by Ana Luísa Jegundo and Natália Machado, from the Innovation Department to participate in the kick-off meeting of the Lifebots project.
On May 2, Ana Luísa – Project Manager – shared the experiences and expectations of Cáritas Coimbra regarding the importance of the research in the area of robotics applied to social and health care. On the second day some work sessions were started to organise the topics that will be worked on in the first year of the project.
The Lifebots project aims to develop a holistic understanding of social robots at the intersection of caregivers, users, interaction, technology, and society. The consortium of this project is made up of research, industry and social entities. The research work will be developed through the exchange of experiences among the collaborators of the consortium partners, in an interdisciplinary, intersectorial and international collaboration. This project is funded under the H2020 programme under the exchange and innovation programme Marie Curie, GA nº 824047.
