SmartWork guarantees the presence of Cáritas Coimbra in PETRA
Cáritas Coimbra will be present from June 5 to 7 at the PETRA conference in Rhodes, Greece, under the SmartWork project.
The SmartWork project, funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020, aims to develop and validate innovative digital solutions so that older workers can remain actively involved in working life, helping them to renew their work skills and adopt healthier lifestyles, considering possible age-related health conditions.
The PErvasive Technologies Related to Assistive Environments (PETRA) conference is a highly interdisciplinary conference that focuses on computational and engineering approaches to improve the quality of life and enhance human performance in a wide range of settings, in the workplace, at home, in public spaces, urban environments, and other. Cáritas Coimbra will participate as a member of the Organizing Committee (Carina Dantas is part of the Scientific Committee) of one of the workshops of the Conference and Flávia Rodrigues, of the Innovation Department of Cáritas Coimbra, will present two articles published in the areas of Ethics and the use of new technologies by older people in a work environment.
The event brings together different types of technologies that address important social and health issues for more sensitive groups such as the elderly and people suffering from chronic diseases. Petra 2019 is thus an excellent opportunity for the dissemination of Smartwork among researchers and innovators with the common goal of promoting Active and Healthy Ageing.
