Cáritas Coimbra received two representatives of Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro
On May 10 and 11, Cáritas Coimbra received Silvia Lucatuorto and Nico Mastrofilippo, from the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro, in the scope of the application to the Erasmus + project “PG4I – Pervasive Games for Integration”.
The workshop “Innovative technology for the integration of migrants” was held and started with the presentation of the PG4I application and the sharing of good practices in the field of new technologies to support the integration of migrants, by the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro. Cáritas Coimbra, represented by the Sem Diferenças project, Nossa Senhora da Boa Viagem Community Centre, and the Innovation Department, held an institutional presentation, as well as sharing good practices in social inclusion of these target groups.
Besides the workshop, Cáritas Coimbra held a visit to the Leisure Activity Centre from the Basic School Poeta Manuel Silva Gaio and the S. José Community Centre, that represent two distinct areas of Caritas Coimbra’s social intervention, with great relevance to the communities.
The application to the PG4I project is framed in education and training of young people, through the creation of innovative tools for social inclusion. The project aims to evaluate the impact of Serious Games in the promotion of cultural and linguistic integration of young migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers. It also aims to raise awareness and promote health literacy and physical and psychological well-being.
