European project PHILIP begins pilot phase in Portugal

The PHILIP consortium has developed a set of training modules to promote health literacy among children and young people between 11 and 15 years old, which will now be tested in different schools. These are intended to be an educational tool in health education, with tips and interactive and innovative resources. In Portugal, the pilot is being implemented by Cáritas Coimbra, in the Group of Schools of Lousã (Agrupamento de Escolas da Lousã), with 9th grade classes. In this initial phase, feedback from students and teachers has been very positive.

The PHILIP project aims to promote health literacy among children and young people between 11 and 15 years old and to train teachers and educators through awareness-raising activities literacy and the creation of educational materials. You can follow all the activities carried out and resources developed through PHILIP’s website and Facebook.

This project is funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme, in a partnership between 6 European entities: Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra (Portugal), Tiber Umbria Comett Education Programme – TUCEP (Italy), E-School Educational Group (Greece), Academia Postal 3 Vigo S.L.
