Cáritas Coimbra attended the Pharaon plenary meeting in Murcia
On 31 January and 1 and 2 February, the Cáritas Coimbra participated in the meeting of the Pharaon project in Murcia.
The Portuguese pilot, of which the Coimbra Diocesan Caritas is part, presented the progress on recruitment and implementation of Pharaon in Portugal, identifying the local indicators and relating them to the research hypotheses. Cáritas Coimbra, represented by Elisabete Pitarma and Ângela Rodrigues from the Innovation Department, also participated in the workshops organised by the consortium. It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, get to know the work developed by the other pilots and plan the next steps of the project.
The Pharaon – Pilots for Healthy and Active Ageing project aims to develop integrated platforms that enable personalised and optimised health and social care, maintaining the dignity of older people and increasing their independence, security, capacities and stimulating their interest in natural urban areas close to their area of residence. In addition, it aims to encourage their active participation in the preservation of the environment. To this end, it proposes to integrate services, devices and digital tools in open platforms that can be readily implemented.
The Pharaon project is funded by the European Horizon 2020 Programme under grant agreement no. 857188.
