Cáritas Coimbra participated in the kickoff meeting of the SUST-AID project

On the 28th of April 2022, the kickoff meeting of the new SUST-AID project took place. It started during the month of March and will last for 36 months. Representing Cáritas Coimbra were Elisabete Pitarma and Renata Gonçalves, from the Innovation Department.

The meeting was moderated by the coordinating partner (Poland) and its aim was to present the project and the partners. Five countries are participating in the project (Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Poland and Portugal).

The SUST-AID – Environmentally Sustainable Food Aid programs in Europe: Vocational educational training for strengthening capacities and program delivery – will cover the current knowledge, training and skills gaps and needs by developing and evaluating a Vocational Education and Training programme for the delivery of sustainable food aid programmes.

Participating partners will be empowered through tools to deliver optimal and sustainable food aid programmes to vulnerable populations across Europe.

SUST-AID is a project co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme.
