ALLright(s) – Direitos para tod@s (ALLright(s) – Rights for all) is the new project of the Cáritas Coimbra. It has started in June 2022. The project aims to raise awareness and empower children and young people, from pre-school to secondary school, in the fields of human rights education, diversity, interculturality, gender awareness and gender equality perspectives. Considering the know-how of other Cáritas Coimbra’s projects, such as Triplo D, recognised as a good practice, in 2021, by the United Nations, there is a need to promote the personal and social development of children and young people, throughout the entire educational process. In addition, it will also have training courses aimed at Cáritas Coimbra’s collaborators.

The project is based on 4 components: empower, build, connect and communicate. The first component includes training courses to train and empower Cáritas Coimbra’s collaborators, developed by the European Centre for Women and Technology and Akto – Democracy and Human Rights, official project partners. The “build” component aims to develop awareness raising sessions for children and young people and it will involve leisure activities centres (Centros de Atividades de Tempos Livres) from Cáritas Coimbra and the Group of Schools in Condeixa-a-Nova (Agrupamento de Escolas de Condeixa-a-Nova), official project partner. The project will also develop discussion/activation youth groups as part of the “connect” component. These groups intent to spark the dialogue among participants on intercultural diversity and human rights. Therefore, they will be empowered to engage with their surroundings and actively participate in actions in schools and in the community. The activities and materials of the project will be disseminated through the “communicate” component.
