Cáritas Coimbra will participate in the Urban Mobility and Smart Ageing Conference| April, 22
Cáritas Coimbra will participate in the virtual international conference on Urban Mobility and Smart Ageing that will take place from April 22 to 24, 2021. The event program is available and registration is now open to the general public here: https://umsa.live/#info.
The COVID-19 pandemic has given rise to new challenges that will define the “new normal” of modern society with a strong impact on mobility and active ageing. For this reason, it is so important to discuss new responses to this new reality.
Cáritas Coimbra will share its experiences with the DAPAS project in the panel “Senior Citizen Symposium – Active Urban Living” with the presentation “Improving older adults’ wellbeing: DAPAS project experience”. Natália Machado from the Innovation Department team in Caritas Coimbra will show how some projects currently being implemented in Caritas Coimbra have helped to decrease social isolation and keep the end-users informed and connected.
DAPAS is co-funded by the European Programme AAL (Active Assisted Living – ICT for Ageing, 2017) and in Portugal by the Foundation for Science and Technology Portugal, Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia.
