Cáritas Coimbra will participate in a discussion on stakeholders within COST Action Goodbrother

Cáritas Coimbra will participate in a workshop aiming to discuss the co-creation process and the involvement of end-users in the development of technological solutions for older people. This initiative takes places within the COST Action Goodbrother. The workshop will be led by Willeke van Staalduinen, co-founder of AFEdemy, and Natália Machado, a member of the Innovation Department team at Caritas Coimbra.

The purpose of the COST Action GoodBrother is to raise awareness about the ethical, legal and privacy issues associated with audio or video monitoring in the care for older people. Furthermore, Goodbrother proposes conscious solutions to promote healthy living that respect the privacy of older users. This COST action promotes an interdisciplinary network of researchers and industrial partners from different fields (information technology, engineering, healthcare, law, sociology) and other interested parties (users, policymakers, public services), to instigate new research and innovation.

Based on the literature review and experience in several projects, Caritas Coimbra believes it is essential to involve stakeholders and collect their feedback throughout the development and implementation phases. This workshop will address the identification of other GoodBrother stakeholders, potential methods to engage them and learn more about their needs, all the while sharing success factors and lessons learned.

Caritas Coimbra is very interested in different points of view and approaches to this topic. Therefore, it cordially invites all interested parties to participate in the workshop to be held on April 20, 2021,11.00-12.00 CET.
