Cáritas Coimbra presents the Portuguese pilot of the PHARAON project to more than 40 partners
In a webinar conceived under a very original concept, Caritas Coimbra, in partnership with Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Amadora, presented a video explaining the proposals from these two organizations to its 2 thematic pilot sites, under the topic “SMART CITIES and the Ageing Challenges”, aiming to address the current challenges of ageing in smart cities and communities.
These proposals were specifically headed to the technological partners, with the purpose of provoking them to present services or digital technologies able to respond to these challenges, that can be implemented in Portugal, within the PHARAON project.
This was the first Webinar involving all PHARAON partners, bringing together more than 70 participants on June 6th.
After the presentations, participants were asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allow the pilots to move forward with contacts between partners, in order to match needs and technologies, so to proceed with the co-creation process.
PHARAON’s main objective is to test some digital services and applications, which may be distributed and used by older adults, to improve their independence, security and capabilities. The PHARAON consortium is composed by 41 European entities and is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.
