Action Chair of NET4AGE-FRIENDLY is the Innovation Director of Cáritas Coimbra

The MC meeting of the most recent project of Cáritas Coimbra, NET4AGE-FRIENDLY, was held on the 21 and 22 October and the key positions of the project elected. This COST Action that includes official participants from 38 countries and an initial network of 213 stakeholders, will be coordinated by Carina Dantas, Innovation Director at Cáritas Coimbra’s that was elected Action Chair and Willeke van Staalduinen, that was elected Vice-Chair. Maddalena Illario is now the Science Communication Manager and AFEdemy was designated Grant Holder Institution.

The main approach of NET4AGE-FRIENDLY will be to establish new local, regional ecosystems or to promote the growth of existing ones in each European country involved, working in health and well-being towards an age-friendly digital world and it was created from the principles of SHAFE – European Stakeholders Network on Smart, Healthy Age-Friendly Environments.

The coronavirus pandemic imposed the need to hold the this kick-off meeting online. The 67 participants had the opportunity to discuss multiple topics of the NET4AGE-FRIENDLY project in the course of the two days, all of this happening in different virtual rooms. The sessions led to a joint decision on future tasks, budget for the first period of the project, as well as choosing the leaders for each working group and reference figures of the action.
