Coimbra hosted the IGCAL project meeting
Cáritas Coimbra hosted the second meeting of the IGCAL project – Improving Guidance and Counselling in Adult Learning. Between 19th and 21st February, the consortium met in Coimbra to discuss the project’s developments.
With the aim of increasing the quality of adult education, IGCAL is developing a pedagogical tool to map the basic learning parameters of adult learners and support the creation and access to professional qualification pathways. This tool aims to expand and develop the skills of educators and other employees who support these learners. In this way, the intention is to provide educators with bases so that they are able to encourage adults and people of other age groups to progress and increase their education and skills. The European Commission’s Erasmus+ programme fund this project.
The consortium consists of Cáritas Coimbra (Portugal), AFEdemy (Netherlands), University for Adult Education Celje (Slovenia) and Työväen Akatemia (Finland), who is the coordinator. During their stay, the partners took the opportunity to get to know the city of Coimbra and the Portuguese culture.
