Cáritas Coimbra is part of the Innovation Model of Ageing@Coimbra | Frontiers in Medicine

Cáritas Coimbra is one of the entities in the operating group of the Ageing@Coimbra consortium, a reference site of the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing – EIP-AHA.

Ageing@Coimbra’s working model supports the adoption of bottom-up, inclusive, and holistic approaches to create regional networks and partnerships with the aim of supporting the creation and replication of good practices for Active and Healthy Ageing. This methodology has proven to be successful in Coimbra/Centro de Portugal and other regions of Portugal, as well as in other European countries.

Carina Dantas, Director of the Innovation Department of Cáritas in Coimbra, participated in the co-authorship of the article “The Quadruple Helix-Based Innovation Model of Reference Sites for Active and Healthy Ageing in Europe: The Ageing@Coimbra Case Study” published under the theme “Active Ageing and Disease Management”.
