Cáritas Coimbra, represented by Ana Luísa Jegundo of the Innovation Department, will represent Portugal on the panel of judges of the International Awards SilverEco® and Ageing Well 2018, evaluating the various solutions and projects for the competition. Applications are expected from different countries of the world, with innovative features at the most diverse levels: research and development, architecture, Desgin for all, robotics, marketing, new technologies, distribution, among others. The awards ceremony will take place on November 15 at an International Ceremony in Tokyo.

Over the last few years, the Silver Economy has been enthusiastic about a number of stakeholders around the theme of active and healthy aging, through disruptive innovations and job creation opportunities, taking advantage of the increasingly obvious demographic transition. Caritas Coimbra recognizes these initiatives as a good opportunity to boost what is already done in this sector, ensuring that the best interest of citizens is represented in the solutions that are developed.
