Workshop promoted debate to improve the social and health care system

As part of the Policy Recommendations workshop organised by the ValueCare project, a select group of stakeholders were involved in a conversation about the transition from the traditional care model to the value-based one. This concept has been studied and deepened over the years of the project’s implementation in different countries and pilot study contexts.

The session, which was remotely moderated by the Innovation Department team, was based on the proposal for policy recommendations developed by the project and featured a participatory methodology in which people were able to answer a series of key questions in order to share their knowledge and experiences.

Without a doubt, the added value of the session was the kind participation of the attendees from the most diverse social sectors who provided their time and attention to contribute. Big thanks to one and all.

The results of the session will be gathered from the inputs collected in the other 6 countries where the activity took place and will draw the final version of the policy recommendations derived from the ValueCare project in favour of a transformative, inclusive and person-centred model of care.

For the Innovation Department of Cáritas Coimbra, it is a pleasure to follow the unfolding of yet another project of such relevance and to count on such a remarkable support network along the way.

The ValueCare ‘Value-Based Methodology for Integrated Care Supported by ICT’ project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, under grant agreement no. 875215.
