SEM DIFERENÇAS E9G

Sem Diferenças E9G is a project developed under the National Programme “Escolhas 9.ª Geração” that aims to promote educational and social change in the medium term. By consolidating the work carried out by the schools, the activities promoting the acquisition of competences and personal, social and relational skills are intended to motivate the continuation of school attendance and, consequently, contribute to the reduction of school dropout.

The project aims to promote a set of activities aimed at children and young people from vulnerable socio-economic contexts with the aim of projecting significant improvements in their social integration and school promotion, facilitating more equal access to academic progression and promoting healthier lifestyles. It aims, as its ultimate objective, to support the creation of consistent and consequent life projects in a more promising future.

 


 

TARGET AUDIENCE

The direct participants this year are children and young people residing in the parishes of Marinha das Ondas, distributed by the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of the Group of Schools of Paião, in Secondary and Professional Education, in Figueira da Foz and Pombal, as well as their families. The numbers presented include Roma children and youth and children of immigrants, from vulnerable backgrounds and at risk of social exclusion.

PROJECT FUNDING

 

This project received funding from the Escolhas 9G Programme. “Escolhas” is a nationwide government programme created in 2001, promoted by the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth, whose mission is to promote social inclusion children and young people from vulnerable socio-economic backgrounds, aiming at equal opportunities and strengthening social cohesion.

Currently in its 9th generation, which will run until September 30, 2026.
