Cáritas Coimbra integrates a new European project to transform mobility
Cáritas Coimbra is a partner in the AutoTRUST project, which aims to create autonomous, self-adaptive services for transforming personalized inclusion and resilience in mobility. On May 22nd, Cáritas Coimbra participated in the 1st online meeting that marked the official launch of the project.
The Innovation Department of Cáritas Coimbra will guarantee the leadership of the ethical tasks and will contribute to the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) aspects of the project, contributing to the analysis of the different user needs and providing inputs to the user-centred design methodology.
AutoTRUST consortium include partners with blended and complementary expertise that feed and holistic approach and share the ambition of the AutoTRUST project – to set the foundations and deploy, the very first economically realistic and viable advanced vehicle technologies and solutions that address security, privacy, well-being, health, and assistance, leading to enhanced inclusiveness, trust, and safety in the interaction between users and automated vehicles.
Considering the challenge of transforming mobility, it is foreseen that AutoTRUST will be in the position to make a significant contribution to offer a new model of future public transport, adapted to all passengers, while enabling a true autonomous mobility as a service concept.
