Cáritas Coimbra attended the first face-to-face meeting of AutoTRUST

On the 19th and 20th of June, Cáritas Coimbra was in Thessaloniki, Greece, to participate in the Kick-off meeting of AutoTRUST, a project that aims to develop autonomous and self-adaptive services to guarantee more inclusive, personalized, and resilient car mobility. The Innovation Department of Cáritas Coimbra, which is responsible for the ethical tasks, has presented the main milestones to be accomplished during the project. Additionally, Cáritas Coimbra will provide contributions related to the social sciences and humanities aspects of the project, including the analysis of different user needs and input for the user-centred design methodology.

The AutoTRUST consortium includes partners with diverse and complementary expertise who support a holistic approach and share the project’s ambition: to lay the foundations and deploy the first economically realistic and viable technologies and solutions for advanced vehicles that address safety, privacy, well-being, health and assistance, leading to greater inclusion, trust and security in the interaction between users and automated vehicles. Given the challenge of transforming mobility, it is envisaged that AutoTRUST will be in a position to make a significant contribution to offering a new public transport model of the future, adapted to all passengers, while enabling a true concept of autonomous mobility as a service.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme AutoTRUST “Autonomous self-adaptive services for TRansformational personalized inclUsivenesS and resilience in mobility” under the Grant Agreement No 101148123.
