Cáritas Coimbra participates in the “Pervasive games for integration – International Workshop”, in Italy

On July 11th, the “Pervasive games for integration – International Workshop” was held in Bari, Italy, organised by the Universitá degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro. Cáritas Coimbra, represented by Ana Goreti Oliveira and Ângela Rodrigues, was part of panel 2, #FOCUS2: The PG4I Project: an international network (France | Portugal), where it had the opportunity to present the institution, highlighting the work developed in the integration of the migrant population. Ongoing European projects were also disseminated, such as the IDEAHL Project, Pharaon – Pilots for Healthy and Active Ageing, Agape Ecosystem, Philip Erasmus+ Project, www.projectvaluecare.eu , www.caritascoimbra.pt/project/digilife , www.allrights.caritascoimbra.pt , among others.

This participation comes within the scope of the application to the European project PG4I! – Pervasive Games 4 Integration, which aims to evaluate the impact of Serious Games in promoting the cultural and linguistic integration of young migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. In addition, it also aims to raise awareness and promote health literacy and physical and psychological well-being.

It was a very enriching event, due to the exchange of knowledge and experiences, with the participation of experts from various academic areas, policy makers, NGOs and people of relevance in the field of sport. Cáritas Coimbra is grateful for the warm welcome and reinforces its enthusiasm for this new partnership.
