Cáritas Coimbra participated in the III Meeting – Ageing: The two sides of Caring
Cáritas Coimbra participated in the III Meeting – Ageing: The two sides of Caring promoted by Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Montemor-o-Novo, on June 7.
Ana Jegundo, from the Innovation Department, joined the 3rd Panel of the afternoon on social and technological innovation on care, to address the theme of the use of new technologies as a tool to promote active and healthy ageing. The impact of the participation of the elderly population on the various technological projects that Cáritas Coimbra promotes and the importance of collaborative work through participation in several national and European networks were the highlights of the panel. The discussion of national and international public policies has been a present aspect in the interventions of the institution.
Cáritas Coimbra is a member of Ageing@Coimbra (European reference region for the AHA); is a founding member and currently Vice-President of the European Covenant on Demographic Change; Main Coordinator of the D4 group of the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing. It is a member of ECHAlliance and coordinates the European Network Smart Healthy Age-friendly Environments and the Portuguese Network on Smart, Healthy, and Age-Friendly Environments.
